A teacher and translator, she turned to writing full-time in the 80s, and her work has appeared in France, the United States and the United Kingdom, in such magazines as Kalliope, Hanging Loose, The World and Lungful! (US) and The Times Literary Supplement, Orbis and Leviathan Quarterly (UK). She teaches workshops occasionally and is a contributing editor to the British magazine Tears in the Fence.
